Dictionary and Thesaurus Activities for KS2

​In Year 3 and Year 4, pupils should be taught to use the first two or three letters of a word to check its spelling in a dictionary; and by the end of Year 6, they should be able to use dictionaries to check the spelling and meaning of words, use the first three or four letters of a word to check spelling, meaning or both of these in a dictionary, and use a thesaurus. These worksheets for KS2 have been designed to help children build and practise these skills - and have a brilliant adventure with language as they do so!
