Real Grammar provides you with everything you need to teach and embed all objectives from the grammar curriculum for Years 1-6.

Its comprehensive and flexible 5-step TEACH, PRACTISE, REVISIT, APPLY, REVISE approach has been designed to support teachers to deliver quality-first lessons and ensure consistent progress for all pupils, with plenty of opportunity to identify gaps in knowledge, and close them, through spacing and interleaving. What’s more, in order to establish really deep understanding, Real Grammar puts each objective in context, with original model texts demonstrating usage, and creative writing tasks that allow children to put their learning into practice.

Real Writing Years 1-6

Real Writing is a comprehensive whole school writing programme that is built on a cohesive curriculum-linked framework devised by literacy consultant Rachel Clarke. There are 150 units of work across Years 1-6 all starting with a high-quality model text written by an experienced children’s author.

Each unit provides you with a complete teaching sequence divided into three clear phases: familiarisation; teaching and rehearsing; and application. Two discrete, fully resourced grammar and composition lessons are also included, and key tier 2 and tier 3 vocabulary is highlighted throughout.

Real Comprehension Years 1-6

Real Comprehension is a unique, whole-school reading comprehension programme designed to develop sophisticated skills of inference and retrieval; build rich vocabularies; and encourage the identification of themes and comparison between texts from years 1 to 6.

You can access ALL 54 original fiction, non-fiction and poetry texts by published children’s authors, PLUS comprehensive teaching sequences to ensure progression across every year group.
