This Real Grammar resources pack provides everything that you need to successfully explore how the conjunction ‘and’ can be used to join sentences (independent clauses) with pupils in Year 1 or to revisit this learning. Teaching slides, worksheets, games and an opportunity to apply the new learning in a writing task are all included to create a complete resource to teach pupils when this conjunction can be used. Pupils will write simple sentences and should be familiar with capital letters, full stops and how simple sentences are formed. Real Grammar KS1 resource packs on each of these areas of grammar and punctuation are available. A separate KS1 resource pack is also available on using ‘and’ to join words.
