Find out about environmental campaigners with pupils in year 3 and year 4 using this inspirational people comprehension pack. Pupils find the natural world fascinating and will be inspired by the work of the campaigners included: Greta Thunberg, Sir David Attenborough, Dame Jane Goodall, Steve Irwin and Wangari Maathai. This resource could be used during COP26, an international climate summit to be held in Glasgow during the autumn of 2021, or at any time as part of a project on the environment.
Pupils in year 3 and year 4 will read a l text about five inspiring environmental campaigners, discovering the work that they have done to educate others on climate change and conservation. They will then have the opportunity to develop comprehensions skills by answering simple questions about what they have listened to or read.
