How could you describe a wizard’s castle?
Create setting descriptions with pupils in Year 3 and Year 4 using this Halloween inspired writing pack with worksheets. Pupils will collect ideas inspired by the image provided in the resource pack, thinking about what they might see or hear, and how they might feel if they approached the castle.
There are suggested activities to teach the use of prepositions and fronted adverbials in KS2 within the teaching sequence.
The resource could be used as part of a topic day based on Halloween, or over a series of English lessons. It could also be used as a writing project which would be perfect for home learning or as a fun homework task.
