Encourage pupils to share what they have learnt in school using our ‘Let’s Talk!’ card templates. Simply write on the PDF worksheet what you have been learning about in school, then photocopy and send home to inspire discussion with parents/carers/family members.
Informing adults at home of the learning taking place in your classroom supports them to have discussions with their child. This, in turn, helps cement pupils’ learning by giving them the opportunity to explain their understanding to a trusted adult. This pack includes two versions of a postcard that can be sent home, with suggested questions that parents/carers could ask their child to prompt discussion about a book that you have been reading in class, or other work. The completed cards can then be sent back to be shared with you, giving you a clearer picture of the child’s understanding.
