The activities in this Key Stage 2 resource pack are based on the article ‘World of Wolves’ from issue 21 of Animal Planet magazine (included). There are opportunities to develop comprehension and writing skills using the resources provided.
Pupils will learn fascinating facts about subspecies of wolves, learning about their habitat and diet. They will learn about the wolves’ food chain, identifying producers, predators and prey.
In the writing task, pupils will explore the role that wolf characters play in traditional tales, retelling some well-known stories before writing their own versions using the planning sheets provided.
Teachers’ notes are included, with suggested activities to develop the unit further.
