These KS2 SPaG PDF worksheets review the grammar and punctuation objectives covered during Year 5.
They are an excellent way to identify areas of strength or weakness in preparation for the next school year, and to revise this content before SATs in Year 6.
The worksheets are divided into five different types of activity including writing challenges and GPS sample test questions:
- Understand
Draw lines linking the main clause with an appropriate relative clause, Complete these sentences with a modal verb, underline the adverb of possibility in each sentence then write an ending to that sentence, and much more
- Challenge
Write two sentences about each image provided. Each sentence should include the grammatical feature suggested
- Explain
Explain in your own words how each of these grammatical features change the meaning of the sentence
- Test
Underline the relative clause in each sentence, tick whether the modal verb in each sentence indicates possibility or certainty, and much more
- Apply
Write a story about the image provided, showing that that you can use as many of the features listed as possible
