Explore autumn with pupils in years 1 and 2, identifying how the weather changes in autumnal months. Encourage pupils to use all their senses to describe autumn using images in the resource pack or by exploring your school grounds or local area. Pupils will then have an opportunity to write a short description of autumn using the senses, using a model text as inspiration for their own writing.
The activities in the resource pack will support learning in science and English lessons in key stage 1.
This pack includes:
Autumnal images
A walk in the woods model text
My senses worksheet
Themed writing paper
