Queen Elizabeth II was the monarch for 70 years, from 1952 to 2022. Teach pupils about her life and significant events during her life and reign using this resource pack.

Pupils in Key Stage 2 will read a biography of Queen Elizabeth II, learning about her life and work. Comprehension questions are included to check pupils' understanding of what they have read.

In other activities, pupils will create a timeline of her life and explore her family tree, identifying those next in line to the throne within her family. There is also the opportunity to research the role that the monarch plays in the UK and to think about what pupils may do if they were to become the monarch.
