This pack contains a number of resources to support pupils to write engaging setting descriptions with a Christmas theme. Pupils can explore how the use of the senses and figurative language helps to create atmosphere and an image for the reader.
The resources are based around a Christmas theme and could be used to engage pupils in seasonal writing tasks at the end of the autumn term. There is an opportunity to revisit or teach the use of speech marks.
